Perhaps you are in a season of loneliness.  I don’t just mean being alone but feeling alone even when in a room full of people – all people that you know.  You are going through the emotions of life, living on auto pilot but not connecting, not really there.

You wake up in the morning and go through your normal “morning routine”.  As you go through the motions of getting ready to head out for the day, you complete a handful of tasks that you are not really focusing on but going through on auto pilot.

As you go about your day you function on this same auto pilot, there but not there.  Your thoughts wonder and you get stuck inside of your own head.  You feel as though something is wrong with you – why or better yet how can everyone else seem to be so happy and full of life, I mean after all each day is the same routine day and day out.  You’ve gone through the scenarios repeatedly.  There is only one solution, “You are the problem”.

Let stop right here – this is a rabbit hole we do not want to go down however many of us do.  It’s easy to feel left out, unnoticed, not needed or wanted – however this is not true.  We can look at scripture and see that God has created each one of us on purpose and for a purpose.  The world we live in is a fallen world – filled with broken people (if we are honest, we are all broken, at times) that need put back together.  How is this possible when you feel so alone, so broken – broken beyond repair to the point where you are left without hope.

This is why it is so important to read God’s word and know his word.  When you get stuck in this mindset of feeling worthless God’s word speaks truth into your life.  Ephesians 2:10 states, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago (NLT).

Do you want to get out of the cycle of living life on auto pilot?  If you answered yes – it’s time for a change.  To change your thoughts, your perspective on life, you need to change what you believe and what you are telling yourself.  I find myself telling people often that words are powerful – because they are.  What you spend your time focusing on will take your attention.  Instead of going down the same rabbit hole day after day choose to start each day in God’s word.
